Summary
Our Global Business Services group (supporting Workplace Services (WPS), Sourcing and Procurement (GSP), Continuous Improvement, Business Architecture) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their COE team. This individual must have a strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills, with the ability to interpret/communicate financial information. They will be part of a team oriented environment that requires flexibility and the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Responsibilities
* Supporting ad-hoc analysis, general and custom reporting needs for regional and global requirements. This includes special projects, specific category manager requests, and market intelligence, including the solicitation of industry benchmark information, etc. * Utilizing Spend Analytics tool to prepare ad hoc reporting for GS&P * Update and improve various Access databases, prepare reports including Purchase Order aging, capital and expense reporting; work with department PO buyers to investigate discrepancies, variances, and aging purchase orders * Independently perform complex financial and operational analyses in all areas of the business * Conduct quarterly audits for and report on compliance for Internal Process Procedures * Actively participate in a team environment to drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization * Must work well under pressure and focused on meeting deadlines.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field * 3 years of professional experience in Financial Planning/Budget Analysis, management consulting or a directly related field * Strong Financial Business Acumen * Excellent professional written and oral communication skills. * Strong PC skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (including pivot capability, knowledge of logic and look-up/reference functions, and chart skills), Access (ability to write queries and trouble shoot) and PowerPoint (ability to create executive level presentations). * Knowledge of Oracle Procurement modules an asset. * Needs to be creative. Does not merely report raw information but is able to drive usable trend and cost information from various data sources.
