Summary
The role of Financial Analyst for Pactiv’s Food Packaging Business Unit has the responsibility of being the lead financial business partner for one of the four business unit channels. This position partners with our other functional leads in the areas of Commercial, Operations and Shared Services. The role consists of four core areas of responsibilities with additional opportunities related to projects and subject matter expertise. Core Responsibilities – Price Management, Reporting & Analysis, Planning and Capital Management
Responsibilities
* Price Management – Responsible for the key areas of Daily Price Requests, Contract Price Adjustments, Annual Bids, Supply & Program Agreement Reviews and Controls * Reporting & Analysis – Support the business by delivering accurate, actionable and timely financial reporting and analysis that leads to understanding what drives the business and identifies areas of opportunity * Planning – Partner with the Commercial Director to develop P/L forecast results on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis. * Capital Management – Support the business by ensuring the delivery of financially accurate requests for Capital Investment * Projects – Identifying areas of opportunity in the business associated with continuous improvement in areas of financial performance, business acumen, career advancement, processes, standard work, systems and other areas. * Subject Matter Expertise – There are responsibilities within the business team that warrant a single point of contact that facilitates the management of activities both inside and outside of the business.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS degree with an emphasis in finance/accounting and 5-7 years relevant experience * Detail oriented with the ability to be intimate with information at the customer and product level * Demonstrate the capabilities of summarizing significant amount of data that provides key points needed to make business decisions that improve the business * Ability to effectively interact with functional business partners and senior management * Strong computer skills including significant expertise in Excel based modeling and analysis * Experience in the use of PRO’s Pricing System, SAP, BW, Essbase and HFM desired * Big 4 CPA Firm experience preferred * Ability to work effectively and independently managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities * Strong process skills with a demonstrated ability to continuously challenge the current state
