Summary
Provide server installation, maintenance and additional upkeep for Albuquerque, NM site. Provide help desk support for the day to day operations of desktops, printers and related computer equipment at the Business Unit. Support all IT efforts within the Business Unit pursuing alignment with established platform policies, procedures and standards to ensure conformance with IOP IT SS and IDEX policies. May determine and recommend the procurement of hardware, software and telecommunications (VOIP) equipment consistent with the company’s system needs.
Responsibilities
* Primary server responsibilities for the sites including but not limited to setup, configurations, maintenance, upgrades and other general upkeep. * Maintain, configure and provide support for all site computer equipment including PCs, laptops, LAN equipment and phones (VoIP and mobile) including associated accessories. * Administers user accounts and Active Directory domains enforcing IDEX Corporate IT and IOP SS IT standards and policies. * Provides helpdesk support for local BU users and visitors and occasional assistance for users of other sites, maintained through the IT ticketing system. * Maintain licensing count through SCCM software and reviews license compliance with IOP Director of IT and site Finance Manager. * Maintain up to date asset database of all IT equipment deployed to users from the site as well as that inventory located in IT storage. * Provide disaster recovery support including assistance in drafting, maintenance and test of local disaster recovery plan and business continuity plan. * Support specialized hardware and software associated with the BU’s engineering, measurement or other production equipment. * Comply with health and safety policies and procedures. * Supports company values as defined through the IDEX code of conduct.
Ideal Candidate
* Hands on experience with Windows servers * Preferred knowledge of virtualization technologies and SANs * Fundamental to intermediate understanding of LAN/WAN support skills * Demonstrated skill in structured troubleshooting and complex issue resolution * Excellent PC hardware configuration and troubleshooting * Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance * Software (OS and Applications) installation and troubleshooting skills with a strong understanding of Microsoft Products and other commercial software. * Minimal hands-on partner / vendor relationship skills * Ability to work individually or in a team environment. * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal * Excellent organizational skills **Education:** * Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school * High preference given to certifications in one or more of the following are preferred: Microsoft Operating systems and other software, Dell or similar PC hardware, Desktop troubleshooting. **Prior Work Experience:** * 4-5 years of related work experience in site IT support * 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and heavily matrixed organizations
