Financial Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in financial analysis in a manufacturing and consumer goods environment. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to take a lead role in sales forecasting, expense analysis, month end close activities, profitability reporting, and variance analysis reporting versus budget and prior year.

* Lead finance role in sales forecasting: maintain and update forecast database and associated reporting and analysis * Daily/weekly contact with internal and external sales force to discuss/review forecast trends/changes * Prepare sales analysis including monthly review of rate/volume variances * Review and analysis of key expenses including trade spending and marketing spending * Review of customer profitability and making recommendations for cost savings * Assist in month end closing process * Preparation of monthly financial statements with comparisons to prior year and plan * Preparation of the annual budget and subsequent monthly variance analysis * Performs other duties consistent with the position

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. He/she must be self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, resourceful, articulate and demonstrate the ability to work well within a team environment. He or she must be well organized, detail oriented, and demonstrate the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written skills are necessary, as is the ability to interact with all levels of management. The successful candidate also must be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications. **Position Requirements** * Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or related field * Three to five years of finance or accounting experience preferred * Experience using Excel pivot tables and lookup functions a strong plus * Experience using Navision General Ledger software a plus * Able to work with detail; strong organizational skills
