Summary
Establish strategic direction, marketing goals, budgets, business plans, and marketing communication plans consistent with established guidelines in order to realize annual corporate sales and profitability objectives while operating in close association with the assigned exclusive suppliers. Develop and manage all aspects of assigned exclusive brands including but not limited to marketing, product launches, pricing, sales training programs, other sales coordination, KOL development, market research, supplier relationships, trade show/convention activities, and product development plans. Execute and/or coordinate the implementation of advertising, public relations, direct mail, practice education, trade shows, and all other marketing communications. Determine effectiveness of marketing programs, monitor results, and implement changes necessary to achieve required results. Fully own the business relationship for assigned exclusive suppliers, while functioning as their primary Schein contact and a consultative partner working to help suppliers achieve their business goals. Ensure both Schein and exclusive suppliers comply with the minimum requirements of existing contracts, identify contract barriers to maximizing sales and gross profit, and communicate suggested modifications to Manager. Evaluate new products or services consistent with the company's standards.
Responsibilities
* Implements business plans in cooperation with internal and supplier staff. * Develops comprehensive annual business plans for assigned Exclusive products in cooperation with supplier, internal staff and management. * Coordinates efforts with Schein and supplier sales management to maximize exposure for assigned products. * Monitors effectiveness of activities and modifies plans to maximize sales and gross profit results. * Coordinates all efforts with appropriate Schein and supplier personnel, including but not limited to merchandising, marketing, outside sales, and inside sales teams. * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. * Maximizes the value derived from convention/trade show exposure. * Coordinates new product launches for assigned suppliers. * Identifies and understands all internal vehicles and opportunities to promote exclusive products and leverage where appropriate. * Evaluates new product opportunities, utilizing defined process and tools. **In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:** * Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards. * Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience:** * 10 years minimum of product and brand management. Strong knowledge of marketing principles. Excellent planning, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze effectiveness of marketing activities and implement new activities to achieve budgeted results. Management of sales, gross profit and expense budgets. Knowledge of the Schein organization and systems preferred. * B.A. degree required. MBA preferred. Will consider candidates with relevant cumulative experience in lieu of educational requirements. *Specialized Knowledge and Skills:** Minimum 5 years dental experience preferred Experience with dental manufacturer is preferred Experience with inside and outside sales teams Expert level at Excel, Word and PowerPoint Demonstrated acumen for business systems Project management skills **Other:** * Technical dental training viewed favorably (DDS, RDH, DA, etc.) * Detail-oriented * High level of motivation and energy * Ability to multi-task * Flexible * Experience with contract administration * Demonstrated ability to function as part of team * Desire to succeed and advance with the company
