Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a critical role, helping to facilitate a smooth and timely flow of communication for the HR department. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and geographically distributed environment, s/he provides assistance with the day-to-day generalist and administrative functions and supports HR leadership as needed. The HR Coordinator also serves as a resource for employees with HR-related questions or concerns.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate and monitor the timely processing of employee job and payroll changes and serve as the primary liaison with our payroll and finance teams, as needed, to ensure open lines of cross-functional communication * Partner with hiring managers, office services, and finance teams to facilitate a smooth and effective new-hire onboarding process; coordinate, collect, and ensure all paperwork is completed and distributed to corporate office, payroll, and benefits teams; and serve as a new employee point of contact for questions * Coordinate and deliver bi-weekly New-Hire Orientation * Support offboarding and exit process * Coordinate special projects and employee engagement events * Provide administrative support and coordination for tuition reimbursement program, employee referral bonus, and internship programs * Assist with HR reporting requests and audit requests
Ideal Candidate
The successful HR Coordinator is a self-starter who demonstrates exceptional client focus and understanding of business needs to formulate solutions to employee questions/issues. S/he possesses high-caliber interpersonal and communication skills, a high standard of professionalism, and the ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality in addition to the following: * Bachelor’s degree required; undergraduate degree, internship, or graduate education in HR preferred * 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources * Knowledge of media, marketing, advertising or communications industries preferred
