Product Development Mgr II (Medicare)

Responsible for the oversight, evaluation and integrity of Product Development Life Cycle for all assigned business segments. Leads in the development of new and existing products and markets to effectively contribute to the achievement of the company’s business and marketing objectives.

- Provides direction and oversight to others within Product Development regarding their respective products and work activities. - Leads efforts, facilitates and/or develops business cases, scope/impact documents for assigned products and brands, including pricing and implementation strategies. - Manages complex projects in a cross-functional team environment. - Works closely with Sales and Underwriting/Actuary on design, distribution, and product specifications and changes as needed. - Works closely with legal and compliance departments to orchestrate and facilitate processes for regulatory filings and legislative mandates. - Serves as primary reviewer of member materials and internal reference materials, to ensure accuracy and product integrity and is valued as product and benefits expert, provide benefit clarifications to internal departments to ensure proper administration/education of benefits.

* Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. **Certification/Licensure Required:** * N/A **Government Clearance & US Citizenship Requirement:** * N/A **Experience Required** * Minimum six years experience in managing large, cross-functional projects in product development/product management role or closely related role * Experience in managed care or related health care industry preferred. Medicare experience highly desirable. * OR, any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** - Advanced knowledge of assigned product line and operations related to product, competitors' products, regulatory guidelines and industry trends preferred. Ability to learn in-house and other systems quickly with minimal training and maintain an up-to-date and solid knowledge base of systems, products, regulations and operations required. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong ability to organize planning and execution of large, complex product initiatives, including, but not limited to meeting facilitation and presentations to peers and management at all levels - Techncial savvy with proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn in-house and other systems quickly with minimal training **Working Conditions** - The following section describes the general physical requirements for this position.
