Summary
The Media Design Production Coordinator for Online Learning and Development is a key role needed as Global and Continuing Education (GCE) invests in new initiatives in distance learning and in technology projects that support all aspects of GCE. These will include hybrid programs, live streaming, on demand, global projects, and other types of courses. For the success of these initiatives, there is a need for someone in the GCE who can support all online media efforts and function as a multimedia developer for the different technologies we'll use for our programs working collaboratively with the Associate Director, Online Learning and Development (ADOLD). This position is necessary in order to support the planned initiatives and innovations in technology which will result in fresh and dynamic content for any online/enduring materials.
Responsibilities
**Interactive content creation:** * Work with Instructional Designer (ID) to assist in determining content that would benefit from interactive pieces * Design, prototype, and create rapid e-learning pieces to support course development * Review analytics and continue in iterative design **Content Loading:** * Assist ID in course loading of all media rich content **Quality Assurance:** * Review course loads for accuracy * Perform QC checks for all online materials **Video production work:** * Create presentations in Mediasite for any upcoming production work (metadata tagging included) * Track production schedule, and notify ADOLD of any gaps or missed timelines * Review and make edit notes on first take of production piece * Meet with presenters to help prep for filming * Review analytics and provide reports on effectiveness/usage, etc.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * BA/BS and 3-5 years of related experience in content creation/animation in a professional setting. * Demonstrated experience with rapid e-learning development tools. **Additional Qualifications** * Experience with current web-based training development software (e.g. as Lectora, Articulate, Audacity, Adobe Captivate and Creative Suite tools, Camtasia, and related open-source software). * Knowledge of eLearning authoring packages such as Captivate and Articulate Storyline. Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized and concise with strong work ethics. * Must possess the capability to master new software applications and technologies as they are introduced to our department. * Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and management multiple competing deadlines and requests from multiple sources simultaneously. * Experience with Cvent (the Event Management System), Mediasite, and Canvas (LMS) strongly preferred.
