Responsibilities
Tesla Motors is seeking an Interaction Designer to design and build engaging educational experiences for Tesla Service employees worldwide. The Interaction Designer will accomplish this by designing effective web-based and video e-Learning courses. This Designer must be passionate about producing great work, an expert with the Adobe Creative Suite, and be fueled by quick timelines. - Design engaging web-based and video courses for adult learners - Create content that aligns with course goals, target audience, and learning objectives - Identify content design and treatments that will provide the best training experience for the learner - Work collaboratively and effectively with different teams (Technical Training, Engineering, Instructional Designers) to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivity related to curriculum development - Assess current products, designs and feedback in order to build client satisfaction and product quality - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially with problem solving and relationship building - Coordinate projects with outside resources to facilitate production of deliverables
Ideal Candidate
- The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, providing the most useful guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner - Degree in Graphic Design or other related design discipline preferred - 3-5+ years of experience preferred - General automotive knowledge, systems, components, and related technologies - Experience designing and developing automotive training and performance improvement materials - Basic to intermediate understanding of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and user experience - Project management, self-management and multi-tasking skills - Ability to collaborate with team members to produce learning solutions and provide project status updates - Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Intermediate knowledge of Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite development software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, etc) - Intermediate knowledge and experience with e-Learning authoring software such as Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, and similar products - Experience maintaining or updating course material within an LMS such as CourseMill or equivalent - Experience with building and maintaining a course asset database - Fluency in multiple languages a plus - Continuously align your design style with the overall Tesla brand to effectively communicate a cohesive concept - Must have portfolio available for review - online preferred - A sense of style, a passion for working hard toward a common goal, a thrill for building a brand, and, of course, a car nut at heart.
