Summary
The Human Resources Project Manager will be an expert in technical and procedural implementations with an emphasis on system enhancements, process refinement, and project management. This position will liaise with various departments to ensure proper collaboration on project development and implementation. The Human Resources Project Manager will oversee all aspects of key projects and initiatives which will contribute to the continued growth of the organization.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement comprehensive project plans ensuring that project deliverables are achieved on time and in line with budgetary guidelines * Draft project requirement documents ensuring that all desired functionality and deliverables are properly defined and communicated * Proactively refine Human Resources operations by eliminating unnecessary procedures, automating applicable tasks, and simplifying actions whenever possible * Strategically introduce new processes and technology while ensuring that sufficient resources are available to meet project goals * Act as the corporate liaison in the development of Human Resources implementations while making certain that field operational requirements are met * Responsible for providing business analysis, measurements, and reporting using internal data as well as independent external sources to measure the effectiveness of both current operations and specific project deliverables * Provide strategic and tactical leadership for the Human Resources team that insures department goals, improved efficiencies and customer satisfaction meet or exceed expectations * Participate in and contribute to strategic planning sessions * Collaborate with departments applicable to overall success of assigned projects * Provide positive and constructive feedback to employees by coaching, mentoring, counseling or corrective guidance and action, as appropriate * Review and maintain reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Harbor Freight Tools policies and procedures * Ensure a safe work environment for employees by enforcing the execution of all safety programs and make recommendations for changes as necessary * Assess financial risk and opportunities and communicate results to Harbor Freight Tools senior management; initiate action plans as necessary * Maintain a professional business relationship by directly and indirectly negotiating contracts and matters pertaining to Human Resources operations * Oversee compliance to all company/client policies and procedures, and government regulations * Ensure that the implementation of business plans for Harbor Freight Tools promotes partnership and fulfills the organizations needs and expectations * Monitor Human Resources operations to ensure the highest quality of products and services * Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives * Additional duties as assigned by management * Ability to travel up to 10%.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors' Degree preferably with a Business major or related field * 7+ years of Project Management experience required, Corporate Human Resources experience preferred * Process improvement, policy creation, IT implementation, and/or financial analysis experience is a plus * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Microsoft Project * Knowledge of current trends in the field * Refined critical thinking skills * Excellent time management and planning skills, organized with the ability to multitask, exceptional follow up skills and able to meet deadlines * Ability to make decisions quickly, based upon a combination of analysis, experience, wisdom and judgment * Flexible personality with the ability to deal with ambiguity and to think outside the box and provide a continuous flow of new ideas and potential improvements * Results-oriented. Ability to execute and carry out strategic and operational plans. Able to capitalize on new brand building opportunities, strategies and objectives * Strong interpersonal skills. Able to maintain and develop top-level, internal and external relationships * Effective communication skills. Crisp and clear.
