Summary
This role is responsible for the successful completion of very large projects with complex components or a program of interrelated projects, ensuring integration, coordination, scheduling and consistency of process throughout the program/project lifecycle. This role leads both business and technical programs and projects originating from multiple areas of the company.
Responsibilities
* Manage project development from initiation to closure. * Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. * Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. * Proactively identify gaps required to bring project to completion and recommend solutions to eliminate gaps * Create a written action plan with owners and dates as required * Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task. * Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed. * Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders. * Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members * Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle. * Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to senior staff. * Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis. * Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. * Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. * Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. * Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. * Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. * Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. * Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. * Lead post-project audits with project staff and management. * Other duties as assigned. * Conducts business with high regard for corporate values and in compliance with its Code of Ethical Conduct. * Maintains high regard for member privacy and complies with information security and HIPAA policies. * Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope. Contributes to and supports the company’s quality initiatives. * Accountable for all actions/responsibilities described in the company’s policies and procedures as they relate to this position.

* Ability to work closely with senior leaders to sure delivery expectations are developed, managed, and met. * Demonstrated ability to build high-performing project teams by effectively leading and providing work direction for others. * Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. * Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. * Demonstrated ability to conduct business impact and cost/benefit analysis and recommend the appropriate course of action for assigned projects. * Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products. * Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. * Experience with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, Word and Excel. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. * Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. * Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. * Work as PM lead to harvest project leading practices and key learnings to improve performance of future projects. * Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. * Must have at least 4 years of experience using project management methodologies working on projects in a health care setting or in a setting requiring these same skills and ability. * Must have at least 6 years of experience working in an information technology environment. * Experience in all of the project management disciplines described in the “Duties & Responsibilities” section of this profile is required. * Experience leading project teams is required. * Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. * At least 4 years of experience using project management methodologies working on projects in a health care setting or in a setting requiring these same skills and ability required. * Experience with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, Word and Excel preferred.
