Summary
The Senior Manager, Product Management Operations will lead an operations group, within the product team, in the process development, execution and implementation of: collection, storage, maintenance and deployment of product information; data integrity; and product hierarchy structure.
Responsibilities
* Achieve operational goals and objectives for the product team. * Prioritize, secure, and manage necessary resources to meet/exceed established operational goals and objectives for the team. * Lead the collection and maintenance of product information for the product team across all channels, including the addition of new SKUs to the Zoro assortment. This may include product information coming from various Grainger systems and/or outside data sources. * Own the implementation and on-going operation of a Product Information Management Tool to support all elements of the Zoro business, including vendor management and requests for IT implementation. * Work cross-functionally to ensure all internal and external users of the Zoro product data are effectively and efficiently supported, including feeds to e-commerce marketplaces and advertising partners. * Partner with Grainger’s Product Management organization to improve the base product information that both organizations use for merchandising and is stored originally in Grainger systems. * Ensure operations group alignment to Company and team strategies. * Development of team personnel utilizing training and coaching to meet established team goals and personal development objectives. * Lead or implement various ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. * 5-7 years of experience in related field preferred. * Demonstrated experience in leading people (3 –5 years), team and personal development and alignment. Sets high standards/expectations for performance. (leadership, developing self and others) * Demonstrated experience in driving detail oriented results in processes such as supplier performance, information acquisition and maintenance, and process improvement and maintenance. (results driven) * Possess demonstrated working knowledge of business strategies including Supply Chain strategies, product information strategies, and marketing strategies. Also demonstrated proficiency in working across business functions…i.e. Marketing, e-Commerce, Customer Service, etc. * Proven Change Management skills by inspiring teams to embrace change, demonstrate agility in relation to change and identified opportunities, and coaching to anticipate and prepare for change. (change management) * Demonstrated ability to build relationships, both internally and with suppliers. Proven verbal and written communication skills. * Ethics & Integrity and Teamwork. Commonly referred to by others as one who leads by living these values. Achieves results without compromising the Values. * Experience in process improvement resulting in first pass yield, cycle time and/or productivity improvements. * Proficiency preferred with Access, SQL, SAP, Excel, and word processing. * Job Travel possibly up to 10%
