Summary
You will be a key contributor in the sales organization and resource for new hires to shorten their time to productivity. You’ll love working with the sales and channel teams and like to hit tough goals. We’re identifying and developing the processes and systems we need to contribute to enhanced & repetitive sales productivity as measured by sales rep performance.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the existing onboarding process of new sales hires in collaboration with the sales enablement team to improve ramp time to full productivity as measured by average selling price of opportunities, length of sales cycles, win rates, and customer happiness. * Create, deliver and evaluate training programs based on identified performance measures. * Provide 1:1 and team focused coaching and training on sales process, tools, resources, and best practices. * Development, delivery and training of effective sales playbooks by sales role in tight collaboration with sales management, sales operations and product marketing. * Incorporate Challenger Sale effectiveness solutions and approach to GitHub's existing sales methodology. * Conduct Channel Partner sales enablement sessions to GitHub’s Channel Partners. * Content development of sales and enablement assets. * Help to develop & manage sales kick-offs and training events with sales leadership. * Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while contributing your great ideas to fuel our growth.
Ideal Candidate
* Track record of performance in sales enablement * 5 - 7+ years working in a sales training function; experience with software sales or Enterprise sales is preferred. * Previous successful sales management experience, being able to skillfully coach sales individuals * Proven success in delivering effective sales training * Clearly demonstrated organizational and time management skills * Strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of working with all levels of sales reps and executives * Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written * Strong knowledge of and experience utilizing needs assessment, training program development and evaluation, adult-learning theory and application. * Experience with Salesforce.com strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to deal with change and be a team player * Willingness to travel * Experience creating/writing curriculum - this includes the use of presentations, interactive sales exercises and other eLearning development software * Loves the psychology of sales and leadership coupled with the certainty of metrics and data
