Summary

Imagine working with a highly collaborative team of experienced service, marketing and sales professionals, engineers and technicians who work on a variety of projects supporting the exciting sensors solutions we build. As a Marketing Communications Manager for MTS Sensors you work on a variety of projects and your contributions and recommendations directly impact top-line sales growth. As a critical member of the sales and marketing team, you are responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing communications programs for Industrial, Mobile Hydraulics, and Liquid Level market segments. You are the primary communications expert, and will manage content development, lead nurturing and management programs, advertising, media and public relations, sales collateral development, competitive positioning, trade show participation, customer presentation creation and promotional program development.

Responsibilities
  • Establishes objectives for marketing communications in partnership with technical product marketing and develops budget in order to achieve sales objectives.
  • Creates comprehensive, integrated, marketing communications plan, develops and implements programs that support the execution of the plan. Responsible for establishing measurement criteria used to assess the success of marketing communications programs and providing appropriate reports to Senior Techncial Marketing Manager.
  • Manages Marketing Communications databases, documents, collateral, graphics, images, video, computer animation, and all external customer interaction.
  • Manages MTS Sensors’ websites, including the online store, extranet, and customer facing sites to support the sales and marketing of the company’s products and services. Develops content consistent with Sensors Division positioning and strategic plans. Responsible for web site quality, including images, text, and the functionality of links and downloads.
  • Develops and maintains an effective sales lead fulfillment and follow up process, including customer database documentation, information requests, and lead management.
  • Manages relationships with media representatives and editorial staff for service press releases, case studies and articles to support the marketing plan and enhance the company’s image.
  • Develop content for technical buyers to assist sales reps with product positioning, feature/benefit statements, and lead conversion.
  • Effectively manage marketing vendors, external agencies, consultants and services to control costs, quality and timeliness.
  • In partnership with product/marketing management, develop trade show strategy and coordinate trade show budget, activities and results.
  • Advises management about marketing communications issues that may arise (and/or the impact on MTS image) as a result of business decisions.
  • Responsible for the on-going management and development of employees.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing /Communications and 6+ years of marketing communications experience in a high tech, business-to-business environment OR an Associate Degree in Marketing or Communications and 12+ experience in a high tech, business-to-business environment.
  • Extensive experience with developing, maintaining and managing Marketing nurturing programs utilizing a Marketing Automation tool such as Eloqua, Marketo, Silverpop, or similar resources.
  • Advanced Graphic Design experience utilizing tools such as; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Expertise in marketing analytics, reporting, analysis and utilizing data to drive business results
