A local client is seeking a full-time User Interface Designer with the desire to improve the lives of others through the meaningful application of design. As a member of the Human Centric Design team, you will be involved in multidisciplinary project teams supporting user research, concept generation, and design implementation to support product development needs for our clients. With an emphasis on medical devices and data analytics, you will incorporate a data-driven design process to translate user needs into relevant and meaningful solutions that meet client objectives and provide an exceptional user experience. With a focus in the healthcare, your design solutions will help to benefit patients and clinicians alike. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent design skills and the ability to effectively communicate to project team members and stakeholders. To be successful, you must be a self-starter that collaborates effectively in a team environment and strikes the optimum balance between research and design with budget, time, and regulatory constraints.

* A comprehensive involvement in project work: from functional design and wireframe development to providing specifications and visual assets to the software team for development * Generating interface design concepts that meet user needs, regulated requirements and stated project objectives * Collaborating with project leads to plan end-to-end design activities * Work closely with software teams to ensure the successful execution of user interface designs * Participating in user research activities to inform design decisions * Volunteering to assist on internal design initiatives and participating in usability study teams in between design projects * Championing human-centered design activities within project teams and to clients

**Required Attributes must be met to be considered for this position:** * Minimum Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Visual Design from an accredited institution * Minimum [2-3] years relevant industry experience, including internship and freelance experience * Demonstrated expertise using core Adobe Software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator * Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio * Exceptional creative problem solving, analytical, and visual communication skills * Experience designing for complex workflows and enthusiasm for data visualization and designing for data * Ability to translate user and project requirements into effective design solutions * Experience with working with software/dev teams * A knowledge of interactive prototyping techniques and tools * Strong organizational and time management skills * Please provide a link to your current portfolio **Desired Attributes:** * Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS * Exhibits design leadership and decision making when working with internal and external project teams * An interest in psychology, human behavior, cognition, perception and how it relates to design * An understanding of the FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) and its impacts medical device development is a plus
