Summary
The National Account Executive is accountable for achieving sales volume, profit margin and channel mix goals for assigned sales territory. He/she is also responsible for early identification of changing customer and market area requirements, identifying trends, threats and opportunities to assigned national accounts and for creating and nurturing partnerships with key prospects. He/she is responsible to the Director of National Account Sales to develop a short-term and long-term strategy for new account acquisition in territory.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 100% of the annual sales goals. Develop a strategic business plan (in conjunction with the director of National Accounts) to deliver sales goals * Analyze sales potential and sell all G&K; products and services; identify potential additional business opportunity * Identify the sales team for prospective accounts (including the executive sponsor role & regional leadership as appropriate) to develop a multi-level relationship in top prospects. Communicate/Partner with the field organization to establish and drive the sales process. Maintain the lead role throughout all steps of the sales process including the RFP, presentation preparation, and presentation delivery stages. * Implement the National Account pricing strategy. Accurately assess all opportunities and complete a profitability model and executive summary for these opportunities * Manage the new account implementation process and the transition of these accounts to the NAM organization, if appropriate * Maintain in Siebel a target prospect list in compliance with G&K; standards to include: **Key decision-makers, CED dates, notes, activities, and appropriate attachments** * Analyze and communicate competitive practices and information, as required Recommend appropriate solutions. * Manage expenses within budget
Ideal Candidate
**Education Requirements:** * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience **Work Experience Requirements:** * 5-7 years of National Accounts experience * Proven track record of delivering sales & revenue goals in a sales organization **Skills and Competencies:** * Persuasive communication, presentation and sales skills * Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships * Strategic thinking with creative problem solving skills * Ability to effectively lead and facilitate customer business meetings * Excellent analytical and reasoning skills **Specialized Knowledge, Licenses etc.:** * Industry knowledge helpful * Must have successfully completed the G & K Sales Training Program (internal candidates) or have the ability to do so (external candidates) * Must possess valid driver-s license, and have the ability to obtain/maintain a vehicle through G&K-s; automobile reimbursement program * Must provide annual proof of auto insurance that complies with requirements included in G&K-s; automobile reimbursement program
