Summary
Specifically accountable for sales volume, distribution, key chain account relationships and results in the allocated area. Provides thought leadership for the sales team and integrates activities as a whole thereby building the business through key chain account relationships. Lead and directs external and internal resources to execute the sales objectives and activities which: address current dynamics; are in alignment with overall company goals to deliver volume, profit and overall ‘brand health’, and optimize the use of budget.
Responsibilities
* Leads the chain organization for the Class of Trade: * Ensure that resources are developed and performance managed to optimize utilization of resources and to create future potential within the sales team. * Increase productivity from the Sales team and internal and external partners. * Ensure the team is applying insights and using the tools * Strategic direction towards spec COT within region * Deliver COT plan – P&L accountability * Develop, maintain and consistently communicate a compelling sales plan * Annual, Trimester * 3 year op plan (some accts), * Forecasting * Manage and coach direct report call plans * Build the business and deliver results * Build the business by managing and leverage internal and chain account executive relationships. * Ensure delivery of volume, profit, and share targets. * Ensure communication of plan initiatives to key constituencies. * Partner with internal stakeholders * Coordinate channel plans and strategies with national channel directors * Ensure consistent communication/coordination with distributors and General Managers * Manage budget * Ensure that zero based budget management is effectively implemented * Maximize utilization of the available budget * Lead team * Builds and manages a strong team through clear expectations, personal accountability, courageous conversations and effective performance management * Personal commitment to an inclusive work environment and a diverse team * Manage development of team capabilities (selling, planning, business acumen, thought leadership, innovation) * Ensure collaborative selling standards are met * Coach and review against account management * Conduct business reviews with identified customers and business partners
Ideal Candidate
**Education and experience** * 7+ years related experience in sales, marketing or business * Bachelor’s degree required. * P&L experience * Growth potential to become a General Manager **Preferences** * Post-graduate degree preferred * Mobile throughout the US * People management experience **Skills and knowledge** * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills * Collaborative leadership of cross-functional teams * Working knowledge of the beer industry and beer distribution
