Summary
FortuneBuilders, one of the nation’s fastest growing private companies is looking for an energetic, highly motivated self-starter to head up marketing analysis. The Senior Director Marketing Analytics will be responsible for optimization of the company’s geo-targeted direct-response live-event marketing and e-commerce/distance learning fulfillment efforts. You’re responsible for decision insight and reporting. You will help us make better decisions that result in generating more quality leads, converting those leads to students and driving increased effectiveness of our marketing spend. You’re not only comfortable giving direction but still a “do-it-yourself” type of person that is comfortable working cross-functionally leveraging the teams’ resources as needed. Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and analysis, as well as possessing extensive data manipulation experience. Past work includes using leading business intelligence tools and Excel in support of direct-response database marketing programs. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Develop marketing channel analysis, automated dashboards and ad-hoc financial models and reporting * Understand the data that drives the business, work with various department heads to identify and measure opportunities for improvement and present these findings - with both concise and actionable executive summaries. * Work with marketing channel managers to design test programs and measure KPIs for offline and online marketing programs (including extensive web analytics) * Support the design and production of quantitative and qualitative research, as well as design and test predictive modeling for new offerings * Work closely with IT as marketing’s application/reporting developer to implement automated analytic and reporting solutions * Investigate and resolve data issues across platforms and applications - including discrepancies of definition, format and function
Ideal Candidate
**Competencies/Skills:** * Strong analytics skills with data warehousing & manipulation experience * Ability to execute tactically while understanding strategic objectives and related business linkages * This role requires experience with very large datasets and relies heavily on business intelligence, dashboard and reporting expertise. * A background in quantitative and statistical methods is critical * Preferred understanding of relational data, data normalization, SQL, database concepts and structured programming techniques * Preferred experience with data analysis and mining - along with a deep understanding of statistics and modeling methodologies * Experience working with web analytic tools. Familiarity with QlikView/QlikSense (preferred). Tableau, SiSense, LogiAnalytics or similar software like Omniture, Webtrends and Google Analytics (desired). **Education/Experiences:** * Masters or equivalent work experience in a quantitative field preferred: * Statistics, * MBA (w/quantitative focus), * Computing and Information Theory, * Applied Mathematics or * Data Mining. * Experience in credit cards, * Banking, brokerage, * Online retail or other data-intensive industry sought. * Live-events experience a significant plus.
