Summary
As a Category Manager (CM), you’re the owner of a specific category on fiverr.com (e.g. Graphics & Design). In this role, you’re responsible to develop the overall strategy of that category and drive its execution across the organization. As the owner of a category you are ultimately responsible for its revenue. You will define the appropriate revenue objectives, set the right milestones and lead the execution by driving initiatives across many functional teams (Product, Acquisition, Retention, Customer Support, PR…). You will have a direct impact in Fiverr’s positioning as the world’s largest marketplace of professional and creative services, in the way the customer experience the Fiverr’s product, and in Fiverr’s overall growth strategy. This role reports to the Director of Category Development (DCD).
Responsibilities
* Vision/Strategy/Planning: Develop a strong understanding of the category, market, and growth opportunities in order to develop vision/strategy/action plans to achieve goals. Responsible for annual revenue planning. * Qualitative and Quantitative Insights: Gather and synthesize insights from buyer/sellers/competition to inform new initiatives across the business. * Revenue Growth: collaborate on acquisition/retention/promotion strategies with growth teams on the buyer and seller side. Execute a category-specific product roadmaps with Product Managers and Tasks Forces. * Marketplace: Develop appropriate taxonomy and meta-information in partnership with BI and Content team and develop appropriate Marketplace Integrity rules for the Category with MI teams * Business Development: Explore new business models for categories, locate and propose potential partnerships,and push business on deals which can contribute to the category’s growth, scale and/or efficiency in partnership with Business Development * Performance: Monitor performance, identify opportunities/gaps against KPIs, make adjustments. **About You** * You’re a strong general athlete. * You love working collaboratively with others in a highly-cross functional role and you’re able to further inspire and elevate highly productive teams. * You’re leader who is highly results oriented, has deep analytical abilities and has a strong business acumen to drive the revenue and KPIs targets. * You know how to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform strategic choices (market positioning, buyer/seller needs, improve customer experience, category structure/taxonomy) * You excel at the tactical execution (execute on-site campaigns, analyze traffic /conversion data, constantly identify new areas of opportunities).
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of experience - preferably mix of consulting/banking and digital marketing / e-commerce * Experience developing go-to-market strategies in a consumer environment + experience generating and synthesizing user insights * Proven track records of cross-functional management * Excellent analytical skills + polished written and verbal communication skills * Awesome interpersonal skills * MBA a plus
