Summary
The marketing manager drives the planning and execution of the brand’s strategic marketing initiatives. This key role liaisons with partners across the company as well as external partnerships to ensure our marketing and advertising strategies are successfully executed. This position presents recommended evolutions and enhancements to the marketing strategies and tactics to the general manager and senior leadership team. The marketing manager serves as the face of the brand to key external partners as well as serving as subject matter expert to the General Manager and other departmental leaders on issues relating to effective marketing. Success in this position results in increased brand awareness, increased distribution, sales growth, development of strategic partnerships and demonstrated ROI on marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and execution of seasonal and annual marketing strategic plans - Support and facilitate the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness - Translate sales channel objectives and strategies to develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies and tactics to facilitate business growth. - Translate seasonal product initiatives into tactical marketing initiatives to ensure market awareness and adoption - Marketing Budget: Partner with key internal partners to prepare and present annual budget Manage key internal relationships - Coordinate planning and execution of overall brand marketing initiatives with partners in D2C and wholesale to ensure consistency of focus and messaging across channels - Partner with creative manager to ensure consistency and alignment of brand voice and imagery - Partner with GM to ensure execution of strategic marketing initiatives is to plan both from a creative intent and budget accountability perspective. - Manage key external relationships Communicate, plan and execute strategic marketing strategies with media buying partners - Manage partnerships with brand ambassadors, partner organizations and not-for-profit partnerships - Plan and execute key brand presentations within industry trade shows, PR events, and consumer interfacing events - Manage and coordinate efforts with external PR agency including strategy planning and execution to ensure efforts result in brand aligned increases in overall brand awareness - Oversee Company Communication Activities - External Communications in alignment with policy Public Relation Efforts - Brand wide communications to internal and external stakeholders - Plan and execute in partnership with creative team all social media communication
Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns and brand awareness building strategies - Accomplished at managing multiple projects and large campaigns across both internal and external resources - BS/BA in Marketing or related field - Minimum of 4 years marketing leadership experience - Sound business analysis experience; good understanding how to assess financial and operational metrics to drive insight and business decisions. Ability to create financial models and budgets. - Experience with new media and internet advertising, SEO/SEM, Social and Mobile marketing tools and programs - Experience with Intellectual Property responsibility helpful - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - A hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment - Self Starter with a hands-on approach
