Summary
The Marketing Coordinator, SEO will be responsible for the daily SEO optimization efforts to ensure that macys.com content ranks highly in search engines including, but not limited to managing link building relationship, keyword research, and develop, implement and manage website content changes to maximize SEO traffic and revenue. This person should be skilled in basic business concepts, research skills, confident in web navigation, and should be always willing to portray macys.com in the best possible light. Knowledge of SEM and online advertising is a big plus!
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain link building campaigns. * Evaluate existing and proposed sites for SEO optimization and provide clear actionable solutions for site improvement. * Continuously optimize site content to ensure maximum rankings for targeted keywords. * Identify and track keyword targets for the content. * Make recommendations on key word selection and manage SEO relationships internal business teams. * Coordinate with internal and external teams on giveaways, sales campaigns, and partnerships. * Coordinate with other online teams and offline outlets on content partnerships and promotional strategies. * Use creative thinking and novel strategies, and work with internal and external teams to implement media buying and link building strategies. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as well as working on a variety of assignments and technologies.
Ideal Candidate
**Education/Experience:** * Bachelors Degree, preferably marketing, business, mass communication, public relations. * 2+ years of relevant experience coordinating projects (preferably within an interactive, advertising or marketing agency environment). * 2-4 years experience in media, online advertising, SEO/SEM, and link building/blog promotion. * Experience in the media or advertising industry. * Basic SEO knowledge. * Good knowledge of static and dynamic website optimization and results. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. **Communication Skills:** Must demonstrate strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills. **Reasoning Ability:** Ability to juggle numerous projects at once under deadline pressure. **Other Skills:** * Accurate and timeliness of work performed and strong interaction with departmental staff, sales force, and clients. * Must be organized and deadline oriented. * Experience or knowledge of web publishing and/or advertising is a strong plus.
