Summary
This role is the link between the customers / sites / Real Estate team and the VP of Property Development. Responsible for using knowledge, research skills, tools, and techniques to coordinate and manage the various avenues of Real Estate (RE) development. Technical skills will provide project team with market analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
**Orchestrate/Support the Real Estate Sales / Due Dilegence Process (75% of time)** * Responsible for identifying potential customers, building strong customer relationships and winning the project at hand * Supervise and coordinate activities for various physical testing of the site(s) (e.g. soils geotech, environmental,traffic, etc.) * Partner with the local project team formation using local and/or preferred vendors for each discipline * Manage vendors to ensure information is provided timely and accurately * Oversee and be responsible for seller provided materials at beginning of escrow * Conduct site visits as needed * Identify critical issues up front,effectively present issue to VP of Property Development, delegate as necessary and manage issues to resolution * Identify and assess project risks and develop timely, proactive plans to mitigate risk factors * Challenge results of other team members and contribute to overall project success * Coordinate with team(dev/const/legal/finance) in regard to deposits; research into local taxes * Act as liaison, offering strategy and coordination, to the following groups: * Incentives team * Solution design * Project management * Establish and manage business relationships with all levels of customers, business partners and vendors * Proactively communicate project status to Sponsor and Stakeholders * Create, Propose and/or refine project standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies for DPDHL **Market Feasibility Analysis (25% of time)** - Gather and analyze data on target markets - Develop specific recommendations for your work stream
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant business or technical subject - MBA (desired) - 7-10 years of experience in 2 of the following 3 areas required (can be concurrent experience): * Real Estate development * Professional project or program management * Commercial real estate - Detailed understanding of Real Estate Development process - Established problem-solving and analytical skills - Proven research skills & sales support role experience - Knowledge of and ability to employ any and all project management tools, processes & software necessary for completion of projects - Experience in planning major projects, including development of project proposals, business cases, project schedules, financial justification etc. - Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills - Competence with preparing and delivering presentations - Proven planning and organizational skills - Customer focus - Leadership ability & able to influence - Ability to accommodate change and ambiguity
