Summary
The Associate Director, Halaven Marketing will ensure the effective marketing for the approved indications of Halaven. This will entail developing marketing strategy and plans to attain therapeutic area sales and profits, development of business plans, brand strategies, and tactical implementation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assimilate extensive market data/intelligence and incorporate findings to develop strategies and tactical plans - Keep up to date with all new information/data for the brand and its competitors and utilize the information to provide a competitive advantage for the brand - Drive the development and execution of an innovative and successful brand plan; working with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and leveraging relationships with opinion leaders in the market - Develop and manage relationships with global colleagues, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), and key professional and patient advocacy organizations - Lead the development of marketing materials and ensure timely approval of materials in accordance with regulatory requirements - Lead the CFT (Cross Functional Team) to invite broad input in the development and delivery of promotional, educational, and sales campaign materials plus gain feedback from the field about existing campaigns - Ensure effective role out of marketing campaigns to the field team through plan of action meetings (POA) - Closely manage marketing budgets to ensure expenditures are aligned with the brand plan - Brand leadership – as Associate Director he/she must be seen as ‘the’ brand advocate - Demonstrate belief and passion for the brand - Convey ideas and plans clearly to ensure broad understanding - Generate support for ideas and plans through persuasion and consensus - Work with all relevant internal stakeholders to canvass opinion and request input to support brand strategy and direction - Provide clear communication to all levels of the organization – create clarity for the brand and its positioning in the market - Utilize innovative thinking to overcome barriers and hurdles faced in the field - Lead the delivery of the operational plan and secure support from colleagues to help achieve goals - Track success and develop rapid corrective activities if needed - He/she should aim to spend enough time in the field in order to achieve a realistic vision of the market - Fosters an environment of learning, open communication and teamwork to maintain and expand capabilities. This includes playing a major leadership role in the cross functional strategic planning and brand planning process
Ideal Candidate
- BS is required, advanced degree preferred - Minimum of 3-5 years of Oncology Marketing experience - 3+ years Oncology Sales experience - At least 10 years’ experience in a healthcare field - Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to effectively interface with marketing support functions as needed to facilitate staff execution of responsibilities - Deep understanding of breast cancer space, competitive environment and overall oncology business model preferred - Experience working in a changing environment, having demonstrated capacity to adapt to these changes - Knowledge of marketing mix and aspect to support brand strategy. - Experience working with KOLs and other specialists - Ability to take on new and complex clinical information and adapt strategy
