Summary

The Product Marketing Manager helps to shape the strategy and owns the execution of marketing Education Elements Highlight platform. This role also influences the strategy and owns the execution of marketing programs with Education Elements’ platform partners.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and advocate for the product and its value to students, teachers, administrators, and districts.

  • Create and execute a product marketing strategy in collaboration with the product team, sales, partnerships and executive leadership.

  • Determine and be responsible for product marketing priorities at all times

  • Drive product launches and communications before, during, and following releases

  • Produce training and marketing materials to support our implementation,client services, marketing and sales throughout the school year.

  • Produce marketing materials to support partnerships program, including both partnership outreach materials as well as the development of joint collateral with partners

  • Execute joint marketing activities with partners, such as event planning, campaigns, webinars, and similar

  • Create, along with the partnerships team, joint marketing plans for key partners; own the execution of those plans

  • Provide guidance to partnerships team about the ways partners can be involved in the product-related marketing initiatives

  • Be active on social media in support of the product and partnerships

Ideal Candidate

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in product marketing; product and project management experience are a plus

  • Demonstrable experience leading successful product launches and campaigns

  • Deep experience working in and building a team-oriented environment

  • Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills

  • Strong ability to problem solve, distill and prioritize business critical decisions

  • Innate ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and thorough, take initiative on process-building, and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluency with essential communications tools like Microsoft Powerpoint

  • Experience working with creative personnel and stewarding a creative process

  • Experience working in enterprise or B2B environments

  • Experience in edtech a plus

  • Experience with Hubspot a plus

  • BS and MS strongly preferred

Skills

  • Written, visual, and verbal communication: you write magazine-quality copy and use whatever tools necessary to create compelling, multimedia collateral for your audience.

  • Fluency in online/social media tools.

  • Attention to detail: you are the final arbiter of quality in external-facing deliverables. Everybody in the company dreams of one day catching a typo in one of your emails....but they’re going to keep dreaming.
