Summary
The Sales Executive takes primary responsibility for growing revenue from among a defined set of Ebates top merchant partners. This responsibility includes sales of advertising, negotiation of commissions, integration of partners with new product opportunities, and ongoing relationship management. The total portfolio of partners represents 7-digit annual revenues for the company, and aggressive growth targets are set every quarter. The Sales Executive is supported by several teams that provide account management, technical assistance, analysis, and operational execution. The position reports to the VP of Sales and requires frequent interaction with executive management, including the GM’s of individual web properties.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of merchants representing $10 to $100 MM in annual advertising revenue * Bring an expert level of understanding of the performance-marketing industry to provide strategic advice to partners * Understand merchant business objectives and develop strategic plans to fulfill both internal revenue growth goals and client marketing objectives * Understand business objectives across all Ebates Inc. properties and products and effectively present opportunities to partners * Foster strategic relationships with key decision makers to generate additional revenue opportunities * Work directly with marketing, operations, account management and executive teams to provide high level of service to merchant partners * Deliver against quarterly revenue goals * Represent Ebates Inc. at industry conferences * Work cross functionally with product, customer operations and data ops teams to resolve issues * Maintain high value customer relationships over a long period of time * Create and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and regularly report on progress * Travel regularly to meet with top partners * Collaborate with other business units to create and improve offerings
Ideal Candidate
* Experienced sales or account management professional with proven track record of delivering growth * Experience working with Fortune 500 retail and/or IR 500 partners * Ability to understand, analyze and present data relevant to partner performance * Familiarity with performance-based marketing * Excellent presentation skills * Well honed interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to thrive under pressure and shift gears to meet short-term, mission critical objectives * Highly motivated self starter with ability to work efficiently in fast paced environment
