Summary
The Retention Marketing Manager will be a proactive, driven, and organized individual that will lead the outbound marketing strategy, newsletter strategy, CRM and nurturing campaign development and delivery to current and inactive customers across multiple channels, including email and social. This individual will need to provide functional expertise and recommendations regarding the execution of digital marketing campaigns, KPIs, and monitor analytics and campaign metrics to measure ROI and conversion efforts.
Responsibilities
* Conceptualize, manage and execute a diverse range of customer retention campaigns and initiatives. This includes idea generation, preparing and presenting proposals, managing and executing the creative and production process and ensuring successful execution. * Develop strategy and manage all aspects of email marketing campaigns and newsletters, including production work flow, legal compliance, campaign scheduling, targeting/list selection, campaign test design (test and control, factorial design, sampling, etc.), and post-campaign analysis * Define customer conversion and retention strategy; evaluate and provide ROI quantification. * Oversee CRM/email management while being responsible for maintenance and upgrade process. * Lead and manage any customer loyalty programs, including retention, upsell/cross sell, offer/benefits development and product promotion communication. * Develop, manage and enhance our email and newsletter program by refreshing creative, subject lines, and testing as well as adding additional programs. * Create and execute data­ driven, dynamic campaigns and deliver highly ­targeted/segmented marketing campaigns, lifecycle messages, retention/reactivation programs, and loyalty building communications. * Build programs to increase the percentage of visitors who participate in our communities by contributing thought leadership, user-generated content and driving usage. * Contribute to the social and website content strategy, which includes calendars, topics and the sourcing of content (internal & external). * Collaborate with cross functional teams to experiment and optimize landing pages and experiences. * Partner with Acquisition Marketing Manager, Sr. Marketing Manager and freelance team to manage daily emails, driving to online and offline channels, content strategy and design. * Work closely with Marketing Operations to analyze findings, identify trends and recommend a course of action for future CRM initiatives. * Work closely with Sales to understand retention and loyalty needs, timing and lead follow up.
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrated success in creating and executing robust retention activities, specifically nurturing campaigns and newsletter strategy * Strong strategic, analytical marketer with entrepreneurial mindset. * Demonstrated passion for written communication and ability to write engaging copy. * Innovative thought leader and problem solve * Experience with marketing tools, ideally Eloqua, Hootsuite, Social Sprout and Salesforce.com * Minimum 5 years of experience in online CRM marketing and content strategy * Prior experience in working with Eloqua a plus * Solid communications/presentation skills and the ability to work in a fluid corporate work environment with multiple stakeholders * Understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM requirements, segmentation, performance metrics, etc. * Understanding of HTML and email design best practices across desktop, mobile and tablet * Demonstrated success in managing high volume integrated email marketing programs for consumer audiences * Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities * Education background a plus *
