Summary
The Program Manager, Supply Chain will manage & deliver integrated portfolio of cross-functional projects to drive business results. This position reports to the Senior Director, PMO and will have 2 full-time direct reports as well as contract resource responsiblities.
Responsibilities
* Drive delivery & integration of full portfolio of projects * Develop deep understanding of portfolio strategic goals, financials and stakeholders * Maintain strong relationships w/all portfolio stakeholders * Partner closely with transformation director to ensure full adoption, maximization and benefits delivery * Partner closely with IT & business directors to define/implement complete solutions * Play a key role in portfolio governance activities (e.g. steering committees, etc.) * Provide leadership within PMO team & beyond * Provide day-to-day management for contract & FTE PMs, Project Analysts * Provide matrixed leadership to dev managers & non-PMO PMs delivering projects outside of PMO * Be an advocate for project management and the PMO across the organization * Drive continuous improvements in PMO processes & results * Dependency identification & management within and across portfolios * Escalation point for project managers to support problem solving * Plan, drive, track and report on delivery of full high-complexity individual projects, multiple projects and/or programs (tech, business, vendor, change, communications, measurement workstreams) * Create project management artifacts: scope, project plan, budget, risk/issue logs, status reports, etc. * Oversee project execution, track status, resolve and/or escalate issues, manage project team * Identify, analyze and manage stakeholders throughout the project and facilitate change adoption
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills and Competencies:** * Expert-level knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools * PMBOK, PM Methodologies (waterfall & Agile), best practices, PMP certification * Proficiency with IT and technology concepts including SDLC & QA, key DSW IT systems * Tools: MS Project, Clarity / CA PPM, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. * Thorough understanding of DSW business: strategies, financials, organization, key stakeholders * Deep knowledge of business processes & practices within portfolio area * Expert-level understanding of DSW project delivery methodologies & processes * Full understanding of strategic goals, financials, roadmap and dependencies within portfolio area * Strategic understanding of all projects & roadmaps across DSW Inc portfolio * Expert-level project manager with a mastery of all associated competencies * Must be able to manage integrated programs * Must be able to direct day-to-day work & development of multiple PMs (direct & matrixed) * Must be able to drive team-building activities within portfolio team * Must be able to lead portfolio governance activities (project changes, estimation, steering, etc.) * Must be able to manage portfolio stakeholders throughout DSW, partners, vendors, etc. * Must be able to create and manage resource plans & budgets across entire portfolio * Able to negotiate between internal stakeholders & external vendors to achieve optimal business results * Able to lead, develop and drive the daily activities of a team of direct & matrixed reports * Able to drive multiple project teams to success & solve complex problems * Ability to build, direct, motivate and drive project teams * Able to drive tempo with self & others with a strong bias for action * Able to be the voice of reason, confidence, independence, positivity in stressful moments * Advanced financial and business acumen including capitalization rules / policies * Ability to identify and manage dependencies within & across projects / portfolios * Expert-level communicator & presenter, able to “tell the story” at all levels of the organization * Exceptional stakeholder identification/management, influence and change leadership abilities * Ability to manage projects following multiple delivery methodologies (waterfall, Agile) * Unwavering personal accountability for the success of the portfolio and all projects within it **Experience:** * 5+ years of progressive project coordination, management, team management and leadership experience * Management of individual contributors and/or teams * Retail industry experience * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification * Understanding of basic retail supply chain concepts: planning, buying, merchandising, allocation, distribution, fulfillment, transportation, stock ledger/MMS, product data management, product photography, order management **Preferred Qualifications:** * Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred * Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification preferred * Formal Change Management training & certification preferred * Working knowledge of core supply chain systems: JDA, Manhattan, PKMS, Yantra OMS, Jesta, etc. * Prior experience managing supply chain projects / programs **Education:** Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred
