Summary
The Systems Analyst (SA) partners with business units to articulate, document and deliver IT solutions to align to short and long term corporate and divisional strategic goals and objectives. The Systems Analyst will be expected to provide subject matter expertise related to IT supported applications and processes, how applications support business functions, data flows, structures and integration points within supported applications.
Responsibilities
* You will Consult and partner with business customers to acquire necessary understanding of business objectives and processes. * Elicit and decompose business requirements. Translate business requirements and develop functional, non-functional, security and architecturally significant requirements artifacts including, but not limited to: use case models, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, user interface mockups and wireframes * Help drive an iterative product focused requirements methodology. * Perform analysis of pre-developed application packages to adapt them to user requirements. * Conduct business and process analysis for implementation and support of third party solutions including COTS, SaaS or ASP solutions including evaluation of white papers, case studies, and vendors. * Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems and to provide technical and subject matter expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. * Conduct and contribute to RFI and RFP’s, evaluation criteria, as well as partnering with the vendor to develop an implementation plan and facilitate execution. * Consult and partner with our business customers to acquire understanding of business objectives and processes. * Elicit and decompose business requirements and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional technical requirements using a variety of techniques including use case models, use cases, user stories, storyboards, user interface mockups. * Conduct and collaborate in reviews of technical requirements to ensure understanding by software engineers and quality analysts. * Collaborate in reviews of technical designs to ensure that designs fulfill business requirements. * Collaborate with other disciplines, including Software Engineering, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, and Project Management. * Proactively identify and communicate risks and issues to management and create action plans to mitigate risks. * Ability to perform technical leadership task including design, development and leading small teams. * Work on strategic initiatives on technology selection, research and development and process improvement. * Consult with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering, and business liaisons to develop approved architectural implementations and test strategies and review these plans to ensure validation of business requirements. Participate in execution of system and integration tests. * Advocate and contribute to the continuous improvement of pertinent and related disciplines. Participate In activities such as CoE task forces, discipline reviews, research and development, process improvement efforts, and upkeep of standards and best practices.
Ideal Candidate
* 3 to 5 progressively responsible years of experience in systems analysis or related relevant experience. Fundamental proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management principles and practices. * Demonstrated experience with elicitation, capture and organization of requirements & system process flows with varied techniques and tools such as Case Complete, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, UML, Balsamiq. * Demonstrated know-how in COTS package configuration, business systems integration and SaaS/Cloud based systems implementations, cloud-to-cloud/on-prem integration practices. * A variety of software methodologies agile, scrum, waterfall * Database designs and standards, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field. * Understanding of the financial services industry and experience supporting enterprise applications such as : LAWSON FINANCIALS, CLARITY, TaxPort, CONCUR, SS&C products such as CAMRA, ANTARES, DnD and FIS /SunGard Products such as Front Arena and OMS.
