Summary
As the Head of Global Sales Compensation, you will help build out a sales incentive program that motivate our global sales team to succeed. Joining the Sales Excellence and Operations team, you will have the opportunity to contribute across the full gamut of sales compensation and crediting topics as well as gain exposure to broader sales strategy and operational areas. You will build and evolve scalable processes and tools for managing our sales compensation programs, inform and enforce incentive plan designs and policies that align to our business strategy, audit and analyze performance results, and collaborate extensively across Sales, Finance, and People Operations to contribute insights that drive the direction of our fast growing business.
Responsibilities
* Champions Dropbox’s compensation philosophy and partners with Business Leads and HR to design and deliver balanced sales compensation programs that ensure delivery of business objectives, and incent our sales team to the highest levels of achievement and excellence. * Leads the effort(s) to define sales incentive plan design: * Sales compensation benchmarking against peers and industry best practices, with HR business partners * Assessment of sales plan effectiveness, to recommend levers for the future periods * Serves as a single point of contact for Sales leaders and account managers for: * Sales incentive plan distribution and governance * Questions around incentive plan components, sales quotas, compensation payouts and deal crediting * Quota setting and exception management * Defines, documents, communicates and manages our sales compensation standards, policies, practices and processes * Responsible for governance of correct crediting guidelines within SFDC, and accurate incentive plan rules and data within Xactly * Oversees and audits sales commissions calculations and exception handling * Provides performance reports and analysis to a variety of stakeholders across the business on sales performance, incentive plan effectiveness, and overall compensation results * Supports other global and local compensation programs and processes as required.
Ideal Candidate
* 6+ years of experience in a sales compensation or related sales operations or finance functions * University degree, 6+ years of sales compensation experience * Prior experience with Xactly or other sales compensation software (Callidus, OIC, Varicent) is strongly preferred * Strong knowledge and experience with sales compensation plan design and strong financial and business acumen * Excellent Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data and strong Power Point skills with the ability to build audience-specific presentations * Great communication skills with the ability to partner and build relationships with cross-functional business partners to collaborate to recommend sales compensation solutions that solve business problems * Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize and resource assignments of substantial variety and complexity
