Summary
Sailthru is seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to join our growing Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition, ideally in a SaaS sales environment. This individual will serve in a cross functional capacity, partnering closely with the Sales, Customer Success, FP&A and Strategy teams. You’ll be responsible for customer contracts, related revenue recognition and additional projects to help further grow our company. This is a great opportunity for someone with a skill set that requires high accounting and operational business acumen, and thrives in a fast-paced and data-heavy environment. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, flexibility and an ability to form sound decisions are crucial to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for customer contracts, ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with Sailthru’s policy and GAAP. * Manage sales tax compliance. * Regulate and enforce process and policy around bookings and related revenue recognition. * Oversee customer receivables, collections and related reserves. * Review and enforce sales commission plans. * Manage the capitalization table and share-based compensation arrangements. * Develop and build upon existing processes to scale with our growing business. This represents a sizable portion of this role.

**Key Competencies:** * Flexibility; ability to adapt to continuous changes as the company and department grows. * Strong interpersonal skills with good team building skills; ability to partner effectively across many and diverse teams. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-based work environment. * Strong attention to detail. * Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. * Excellent problem-solving skills and experience analyzing high volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business environment. **Required Skills:** * 5+ years accounting experience; combination of public (Big 4 preferred) and corporate a plus. * Technology/Software/SaaS industry preferred; customer retention sector a plus. * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. * Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and stock-based compensation under US GAAP. * Experience reviewing revenue-related contracts and working with sales and customer success teams. * Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills (vLookups, pivot tables, etc.) * NetSuite, Salesforce, Xactly commission platform experience a plus.
