Summary
Direct the execution of business priorities required to mitigate credit risks, optimize portfolio and business profitability and ensure receivable goals are met; through effective risk management practices, improved operational efficiency, fraud control and implementation and deployment of new business as well as optimization of existing businesses. Thought leader and driver of change across the organization. Continuously challenging existing business practices and enabling the creation of transformational and improved practices that deliver higher profit business results.
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities to increase brand penetration on customer base and prospect base. * Ensure the credit operations and risk management teams deliver agreed performance results and goals in terms of delinquencies, portfolio performance, line management, sales, etc. * Ensure team priorities and deliverables are completed as required by the organization. * Lead Credit Operations team. * Lead Risk Management and Analytics team. * Transform fraud prevention operations and bring them to industry standards. * Lead model development function and transform it to adopt industry standards. * Lead portfolio management transformation into lifecycle management practice. * Define and assign team priorities, roles and responsibilities. * Main liaison with Credit Reporting Agencies. * Improve the team’s visibility and perception in the organization. * Support the telemarketing and credit marketing functions. * Ensure Finance Group’s priorities are successfully carried out as required by the Group’s leadership. * Bring innovation to the credit and risk function in the areas of process improvement, automation and optimization, development of interactive information delivery platforms, statistical modeling and analytics, fraud prevention, and operations. * Manage departmental overall budgeting, hiring, firing, and performance review processes. * Manage departmental compensation and incentive plans as agreed with senior management.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to be a thought leader in the organization, to influence associates from his and other departments, regardless of their role or level in the organization. * Excellent presentation skills. * Knowledge and understanding of: * People Management. * Budgeting. * Negotiation. * Leadership. * Consumer Protection laws. * Consumer Finance, Cards and Lending business. * Portfolio Forecasting. * Design of Experiments * SAS or similar experience in data analysis and programming. * Statistical analysis, model development and other analytical tools * Profitability concepts and portfolio analysis * Portfolio vintage analysis * Ability to transform vague business requirements and needs into specific solutions. * Ability to drive change in his team, and outside his team * Ability to build and establish positive relationships at all levels, and leverage them as needed to carry out the objectives of his position. **Skills and Abilities** **Education** * Masters in applied statistics, MBA, Math, Industrial engineering, computer science, applied economics or related discipline, with equivalent professional experience in Credit, Risk Management, Marketing Analytics or Business Analysis. **Experience** * At least 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Previous Credit and Risk Management experience in Credit Cards. **Language Skills** * English and Spanish a huge plus! **Computer Skills** * Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Visio, Access.
