Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the analytics and planning of TFS’ Earning Assets, Product Margin, Credit Expense, and Residual Value Losses. Reporting to the Product Portfolio Analytics Manager, the person in this role will support the Corporate Finance department's objective to provide TFS with comprehensive financial intelligence and effective thought-leadership to enable the organization to maximize long-term value and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
**50% Financial Analytics & Planning** * Collaborates with Business Units (Sales, Treasury, Risk) across the organization to develop financial forecasts of TFS’ Earning Assets, Debt, Derivatives, and Deferred Tax Liabilities on the Balance Sheet and Revenue, Interest Expense, Credit Losses, and Residual Value Losses on the Income Statement. * Provides current condition updates through the monitoring of actual-to-expected results, and plan versus prior plan results and investigates and communicates differences. * Stays abreast of systemic and specific market conditions driving TFS performance (Economy, Overall Financial Markets, Credit Markets and Interest Rates, New and Used Auto Sales, Toyota Performance). * Challenges assumptions, validates rationale, and identifies risks and opportunities in forecast scenarios. Integrates multiple views and perspectives into a consistent forecast narrative and clarifies complex and involved situations for Executive level communication. **30% Ad-Hoc Finance Support** * Provides ad hoc financial support for Executive Leadership and other Business Units. * Assists in the facilitation and development of content for Executive presentations to internal/external constituencies. **20% Kaizen / Continuous Improvement Initiatives** * Brings fresh perspectives and thinking to improve Group’s processes and content. * Utilizes technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental analytics and processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Admin. or other quantitatively analytical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science. MBA is a plus but not required. Interested candidates should include GPA of their coursework and any relevant test scores. * 5-10 years of progressive experience including solid financial, analytical, business, and computer skills. Prior experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, and/or Corporate Finance at a large major Corporation is preferred. * Excellent track record of performance with prior academic and professional experience. Solid work ethic and dedication/pride in work product. * High level of proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis. * Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with strong presentation skills. **A successful candidate may:** * Experience with analytical/statistical tools outside of MS Excel such as SAS, R, SPSS. * Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools such as Tableau. * Experience with relational databases and data cubes. Knowledge of SQL. * Experience with Hyperion Essbase.
