Summary
We are looking for Content Manager to join the Crain’s New York Business Custom Content team. Core competencies include solid communication skills, high level of creativity, a passion for the vital and growing field of custom content marketing. This Manager will be a key player at a growing, dynamic media organization. Responsibilities
* In cooperation with the Director of Custom Content, develop effective and ROI focused custom content proposals and content marketing solutions through experience and internal brainstorming with a thorough understanding of appropriate deliverables, including digital solutions (including native advertising, content hubs/microsites, videos, newsletters, e-blasts, custom social media etc.), core competencies in print (advertorials/special sections/sponsored content), custom events, and whitepapers/custom research. * Tactically manage and support all sold thru content programs (all project management including: development of timelines, trafficking and review of materials, estimation of costs, working with vendors, routing for client approvals and providing client recaps etc.) * Work closely and in tandem with the Director of Custom Content for the following: custom content sales material creation, custom content day to day client requests and execution of sold thru custom content programs. * Assist in long-term strategic planning and ideation of custom content signature programs which may combine several content platforms: print, online, social and events. * Be able to respond in an informed manner to sales force on custom initiatives * Maintain excellent vendor relationships with a large number of journalists, copyeditors, and designers, event freelancers * During and after the sales process, interact with clients, attend sales presentations, conference calls and be able to speak to specific custom initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * 3-5 yrs work experience in a related field * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude, who is highly motivated, open to new ideas * Excellent customer service attitude/professionalism * High level of attention to detail, strong project management skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of indesign and adobe helpful but not mandatory
