Content Marketing Specialist

MasterControl is an international software solutions company that provides software solutions for regulated companies to comply with rigid quality standards. Our customers include medical device, pharmaceutical, and food companies that must conform to FDA regulations, as well as general manufacturing companies that require a high level of quality compliance, such as those found within ISO standards.

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for writing and coordinating content for prospect- and customer-related collateral including, but not limited to, web pages, case studies, product literature, technical product and industry white papers, email blasts, online articles/blog content, newsletters and infographics. The position requires strong writing, editing and project management skills, along with the ability to handle multiple projects at once; work independently, manage ambiguity and ask for guidance when needed; adapt quickly to changing priorities while remaining positive, flexible and open to feedback; work well under pressure; and meet short deadlines. The Content Marketing Specialist will also be expected to learn and adhere to search engine optimization (SEO) guidelines in much of his/her writing.

* Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to write original, compelling content that generates interest in MasterControl, positions the Company as a thought leader and indirectly generates sales leads. * Write copy for prospect marketing and advertising campaigns for a variety of vertical markets/industries including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical, medical device and general manufacturing. * Lead internal SMEs to shape and polish their message and simplify complex industry, regulatory and technical concepts and key messages. * Write search engine optimized landing pages for the Company's websites that are focused on specific search terms and follow the guidelines provided by management. * Write search engine optimized articles and press releases to be submitted and published on the Internet. * Write industry and product related white papers used for website advertising and general lead generation. * Write case studies used for prospect sales and for possible publication through media outlets. * Research and keep up-to-date with news and current best practices within the life sciences and other regulated industries. * Research competitor marketing campaigns to stay current on industry positioning. * Demonstrate a knowledge of current content marketing strategies and tactics. * Demonstrate a knowledge of basic SEO and social media concepts and best practices. * Edit collateral and website content for consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy and readability. * Adhere to Associated Press (AP) Style Guidelines. * Perform other duties as assigned.

**Preferred Skills** * Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications or other related field; and 5+ years' experience in business/marketing writing. * Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills * Strong sense of project ownership and accountability, ability to move objects forward and stay on top of deadlines. * Experience with HTML or technical ability to learn how to edit and add landing pages to company websites. * Solid experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Experience in life sciences, manufacturing and quality control software. * Previous history of writing about technical products. * Journalism experience. **Physical Demands and Working Conditions** Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for an extended period of time.
