Summary
The Marketing Specialist will be part of a Marketing team serving the business development needs of brokers in the Palo Alto office. This includes hands-on development and project management of presentations, proposals and other marketing tools, utilizing (primarily) PowerPoint, Word, Excel and the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign. This person should not only exhibit the skills, but also the enthusiasm, to contribute to the Marketing Team’s goal to provide brokers with a superior end-to-end experience that adds value to their new business efforts.
Responsibilities
* Acts as a representative of the marketing department to brokers in CBRE’s Palo Alto office, who require strategic marketing, as well as marketing tools, to help in their pursuit of new business. * Assists in development, coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and works closely with research coordinator and business development analyst to support those strategies. * Provides quality control for materials that leave the Marketing Department based on department protocols (proofreading, style guide, production management, etc). * Works as a team/collaborates with Marketing Department staff, brokers, research, and corporate marketing teams, among other departments, to develop and execute deliverables for New Business Pursuits. * Maintains and updates marketing library of standard company boilerplate proposals, custom-proposals, and other collateral materials. * Remains informed and up to date on industry knowledge, trends and competition, in order to provide relevant, actionable insights to projects and pitches. * Strong writing and communication skills, both with creating presentations and marketing tools for brokers, as well as with day-to-day communication with brokers, marketing staff and across departments. * Collaborative attitude. Adept at building internal relationships/dialogue to help facilitate process, as well as generate the ‘right’ result. This includes working with brokers on developing marketing materials, as well as working across departments on specific marketing projects, and/or to generate specific content for marketing/new business purposes. * Can think strategically and be proactive with ideas/opportunities. This may include the ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret documents in order to create slides or other materials for new business opportunities. It also requires the ability to solve problems in situations involving several options. * Able to employ project management skills to keep projects moving and engage people across staff and departments to move projects forward and complete deliverables on time. * Strong attention to detail, including strong proofreading capabilities and interest in achieving the highest quality, most accurate deliverables possible. * Strong organizational skills, including working with file libraries, file nomenclature and versioning during the development of materials, in order to build upon the department’s library of reference materials. * Energetic, enthusiastic and people-oriented. Enjoys working with different personalities and can adapt/accommodate to others’ working styles while achieving goals and objectives of projects and deliverables. * Service-oriented and responsive. Works well under deadlines. * Intermediate skills with various software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Specifically, possesses solid PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign skills, including the ability to create/modify info graphics, create animations, insert pictures/files, etc. * Ability to be trained and work within a web-based content management system. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 1 year of related experience/training.
