Summary
Position Overview: This role oversees and maintains relationships with some of the world’s biggest content and video distribution platforms and plays a critical role in executing on Consumer Reports’ digital distribution and audience development strategy. Responsible for onboarding new partners, managing daily partner relations and working with partners to optimize consumption of CR content, traffic to our site and revenue.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: * Partner with Director, Business Development to maintain relationships with strategic business partners * Manage content syndication to existing content licensing partners, including digital, video and other media * Coordinate activities with product teams, Marketing, Editorial and Content to support business development deliverables for our partnerships. * Direct ongoing strategy and planning of existing business development partnerships. Develops and recommends strategy to maintain and improve upon current relationships. * May conduct status & strategy meetings with existing partner’s management to understand needs and link them to the organization’s product / service strategies. * Partner with Director of Digital Analytics to maintain and disseminate monthly Business Development reports on content distribution partnerships for internal communication purposes. * Expand existing key partner footprint based on new partnerships signed up to obtain more consistent placement of content to expand brand awareness, new audience reach and increase consumer impact. * Ensure standards of contractual agreements with existing clients are being met. Maintains, reviews, and proposes revisions to contractual agreements upon renewal. * Work with Digital Marketing, Digital Analytics, Product Management, Social, Video and BP&A to understand and improve conversion rate to subscriptions from key partner-driven traffic * Develop and track channel and device metrics. * Where applicable, tracks and maintains revenue generation from established partnerships. * Performs other tasks as required.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications Include: * Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business preferred with 2-5 years business development or digital media experience in online digital environment required. * Must have an in-depth knowledge of digital business models. * Exceptional digital IQ and passion is a must. * Must be able to effectively work with project teams to achieve goals on time and on budget. * Ability to track and analyze partner performance data required. * Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams. * Must be tech-savvy and knowledgeable about leveraging technology to build partnerships, and be proficient in distribution capabilities, including RSS, XML, MRSS, APIs, iFrame, etc. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and able to interpret digital analytics.
