Summary
The Assistant Land Development Project Manager reports to the Director of Land Development and assists the Land Development Project Manager in the execution of land development projects for the Company. This is primarily an office position with occasional trips to the field to visit job sites.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of Land Development in preparing preliminary land development budgets * Help prepare and modify land development contract scope with the guidance of the Land Development Director * Assist in the preparation and maintenance of land development project schedules with the supervision of the Land Development Project Manager * Assist in contract negotiation, execution and administration * Assist the land development team in the field when necessary * Review invoices to determine if work is complete * Assist in the scheduling and management of contractors * Work in a collaborative team environment * Maintain project files **Other Duties:** * Ability to work in a complex environment learn on the job to some degree and grow into other management positions.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge/Skills and Experience:** * Knowledge of Colorado real estate market and how land is developed in Colorado * Ability to read and understand financial reports or legal documents applicable to assigned projects * Ability to analyze problems and communicate issues to management effectively * Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community * Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers, contracted agencies and workers, other employees, supervisory personnel **Education and Experience:** * Four-year degree in Business, Urban Planning, Construction Management or Engineering * Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education * Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in residential construction, Single or Multi-Family Land development, entitlement, or acquisitions
