Responsibilities
* Assist with sourcing deals and long range planning strategy. * Assist in origination, underwriting and due diligence of acquisition and investment transactions. * Participate in all aspects of the permitting, design, construction, and close out process. * Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of development models for large scale mixed use projects, including residential, retail, and office product types. * Collect and integrate project data, including construction cash flow requirements, operating income and expense projections and financing assumptions for project pro-formas. * Oversee all aspects of projects – design, cost review, constructability, scheduling and vendor selection, among others. * Handle overall project finances including managing the budget, tracking expenses and minimizing exposure and risk. * Manage consultants including designers, contractors, sub-contractors, laborers and internal stakeholders. * Communicate effectively with multiple project team members to ensure timely and quality project completion. * Make periodic site visits. * Interact with venture partner representative regarding specific project issues. * Assist with submittals to governmental jurisdictions on entitlement and zoning related matters. * Review and negotiate consultant contracts. * Review and approve project invoices. * Prepare and review project budgets. * Maintain and collect market data for each project. * Review and report on status of projects on both a weekly and monthly basis. * Implement project strategy on daily basis.
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelor’s degree * Minimum 8 years project management experience. * Deep knowledge of Boston’s development process * Strong track record of commercial office and multi-family residential development & construction * Background in architecture or construction * Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects * Experience in scheduling, estimating and pre-project processes and procedures * Team orientated with high initiative, excellent communication, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong attention to detail and highly organized
