Summary
The Project Engineer reports to the Director of Design & Construction and is responsible for managing all project related documentation for the Planning, Design & Construction Dept, inclusive of that received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff. The candidate will responsible for ensuring compliance with the control systems and document distribution matrix developed for this purpose, including distribution of construction documentation to all appropriate persons. Whereas the Project Engineer will be under the general supervision of the NSH Project Controls Manager, they will be expected to fully manage and provide leadership over the document control process.
Responsibilities
Scan, distribute and file documents to the appropriate archival repository Verify and correct where needed, the incorrect archiving of all files Prepare documentation which is organized, accurate, and clear Develop working knowledge of OSHPD forms and processes Develop and maintain log of all incoming and outgoing documents and correspondence Organize and file construction documents while having an attention to detail Provide initial review of pay applications, change orders and other incoming construction documents
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. **Education:** High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering strongly preferred **Experience:** Three (3) years experience in Construction, Design, or construction management **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Ability to utilize project selected management tools · Knowledge of technical and professional requirements in the fields of healthcare delivery, architecture and building design process, and construction * Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and be detailed oriented * Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing * Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain cooperation from widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization * Knowledge of RFI, PCO, CO, submittal and invoicing processes
