Summary
Coordinates activities for supply chain, distribution and logistics team to ensure product is received and properly delivered in a time efficient manner; support sales team.
Responsibilities
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities** * Ensure a safe and healthy workplace. * Manage customer service team, estimator and scheduler. * Demonstrated ability to problem-solve issues, evaluate and improve internal processes, train and develop team, and be the liaison between customer/sales/production. * Work with suppliers and freight carriers to schedule and meet customer demands while meeting plant freight and cost objectives. * Meet accounts receivables and inventory terms and goals while fully satisfying the customer needs. * Analytical skills to evaluate estimates/layouts/customer specifications. * Drive efficiencies as it relates to VMI/EPQ/Orders/BIP's. * Participate and effectively lead projects related to Commercial Platform Customer Service Manager Team. * Support GM in meeting established financial metrics and sales goals for the production facility * Provide forecasting, quotations and bid information as requested. * Participate with customer visits at the plant and travel to customers when necessary. * Coordinate load leveling requests for the production facility. * Participate with recruiting and hiring customer service representatives and scheduler * Ability to manage key accounts. **Other Responsibilities** * Comply in all respects with the provisions of the Caraustar Standards of Business Conduct Policy required. * Run reports for management upon request. * Perform all required duties and tasks in accordance with Caraustar accounting policies and financial control procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience and 5 years’ experience in customer relations or related field required. * Ability to direct work of others a must. * Must have ability to multitask in fast paced environment. * Ability to think critically essential. * Ability to act in good judgment from prior experience a must. * Must possess excellent customer service skills and be a self-starter. * Must have PC skills in Microsoft Office software. * Superior interpersonal skills a must. * Ability to resolve complex problems under minimal guidance strongly preferred. * Ability to meet deadlines under intense pressure a must.
