Responsibilities
Brown and Brown Insurance of Georgia, Duluth, is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our fast-paced Personal Lines Department. Must have knowledge of independent agency personal insurance companies, experience marketing to the broker community, and remain current with industry offerings. This position is responsible for maintaining and growing an assigned book of business. The candidate will be responsible for preparing quotes, handling client requests, reviewing policies and remarketing accounts as necessary. * Day-to-day servicing of accounts; this would include routine coverage questions, endorsement ordering and processing, policy checking and invoicing, as well as marketing renewals and rounding out accounts. * Process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts * Answer and process all telephone requests for assigned accounts * Underwriting, rating and generating new business. * Validate coverages and ratings policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. * Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence/requests * Prepare billings and/or invoices on a timely basis * Maintain expiration records * Maintain up to date knowledge of the various carriers’ rating plans and programs * Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of personal lines coverages and rating * Maintaining a consistency in processes in compliance with Quality Control guidelines
Ideal Candidate
Required Competencies: * Must have a Georgia Property and Casualty Insurance License * Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Personal Lines Insurance * Applied Systems experience a plus (TAM) * Highly motivated team player with high degree of self-discipline and positive attitude * Excellent verbal & written communication skills * Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously despite their complexity * Creativity and the ability to solve problems * Excellent organizational and time management discipline * Capable of meeting deadlines * Proficient in Microsoft Windows systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet usage Preferred: * 2 Years or more personal insurance experience, one or more professional insurance designation, * College degree or equivalent job related experience
