Summary

This individual leads a team of in-house health economists and outcomes researchers to support products in cardiovascular, immunoscience and virology.

Responsibilities

· Oversight of planning and conduct of high quality HEOR studies as part of the brand medical plans in these therapeutic areas.

· As a leader in US HEOR organization, this individual will interface directly with Medical counterparts and Field HEOR leadership and staff to ensure close collaboration and bi-directional communication on strategy and tactics.

· This individual will need to maintain a strong relationship with World Wide HEOR leadership, to keep open channels of communication and facilitate seamless collaboration with the WW HEOR teams in these therapeutic areas.

· Commercial contacts with Payer Marketing, Market Access and Brand are also key stakeholders with whom a close and transparent relationship will prove critical.

· Along with oversight of the Home Office HEOR team, this individual will make recommendations on external collaborations, profile organizations, and researchers for appropriate expertise.

· He or she will collaborate effectively with outside researchers and HEOR colleagues in managing projects.

· Internally, this individual will assume a leadership role to educate and inform Medical colleagues regarding access issues, with the goal of ensuring that Medical Plans include HEOR studies as appropriate.

Ideal Candidate

· Graduate degree required PhD, PharmD, MS, MPH, with a minimum of 7 years in the biopharmaceutical industry.

· This individual will have 3+ years’ experience managing a team of researchers in a matrix environment; with demonstrated skills in influencing and leading through change.

· In depth knowledge of the US healthcare landscape and access issues from a Medical perspective are critical, as well as experience working in a matrix organization.

· Strong communication skills and drive for results is required.
