Summary
JPL has an exciting new opportunity within our strategy team. We are launching a search for a point person to lead strategic, internal communications engagements and ensuring a positive, JPL-branded client experience
Responsibilities
* An Account Strategist, Internal Communications, at JPL is passionate about uncovering business, employee engagement and internal communications ideas to help organizations accomplish their goals. You collaborate with clients to identify business needs and objectives, establish internal audience segments and define key messages and tactics to accomplish organizational objectives. You lead the development of internal communications strategies and programs overseeing their creation, implementation and measurement. Internal communications may include programs designed to inspire, engage and inform employees, prospective employees, professional association members, product reps and distributors, strategic vendors and other stakeholders who are not consumers of an organization’s products and services. * As an Account Strategist, you must be an excellent interpreter of data and information and skilled at turning research into insights and action. The successful candidate conducts primary research and leverages secondary research to provide valuable business and audience engagement insights. The Account Strategist analyzes comprehensive quantitative and qualitative information to form clear, focused strategic recommendations. * Strong leadership skills are required for success in this position. You need to possess the ability to inspire the creative team with compelling strategy and guides the broader client team with sound business acumen. You must be entrepreneurial, resourceful, detail oriented, self-directed and able to multi-task.
Ideal Candidate
* A degree in marketing, business, communications or related area of study. * A minimum of five years experience working within an agency or corporation strategically planning and guiding the execution of internal communications programs. * Hands-on experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research with a proven ability to identify insights and use them to form strategic brand, marketing and communications recommendations. * Up-to-date knowledge of digital and mobile communications and analytics, social media, and content marketing techniques. * A solid understanding of business, internal communications and employee engagement fundamentals. * Proven ability to inspire creative teams with clear, insightful, actionable strategies and supporting rationale, and the ability to translate strategic detail into focused creative briefs. * Excellent client-facing skills; a communications style and work style that engages the client collaboratively and creates a positive client experience.Proven track record in client service; demonstrated success in providing clients with on-strategy work and managing projects to on-time, on-budget completion. * Excellent business and sales writing skills; experience writing conference briefs, proposals, strategy documents, communications plans, and presentation talking points. * Strong verbal presentation skills; experience presenting to senior-level decision makers with an ability to win confidence and their business. * Must be a self-starter, able to analyze and solve problems and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. * Strong negotiating and decision-making skills. * Ability to be diplomatic, assertive, articulate, persuasive, flexible, confident, competitive and creative; an enthusiastic team player who demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail in producing quality work.
