Summary
JPL has a great opportunity for an account leader with an entrepreneurial spirit! As our Senior Account Consultant, you will thrive on uncovering opportunities to further JPL’s relationship with targeted existing and new clients. You will collaborate with clients (large- and mid-size corporations) to identify business needs, objectives, target markets and audiences, and provide solutions to marketing challenges. You will engage targeted accounts and prospects and regularly report on progress to JPL’s senior leadership. This high-energy position requires innovative thinking, strategic marketing experience, excellent business acumen and a proven track record of increasing client investment in agency services. The Senior Account Consultant must also be comfortable, confident and experienced in consulting with C-level client decision makers. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a diverse skill set in communications, including the fundamentals of digital marketing, marketing communications best practices and how to plan and activate employee communications programs.
Responsibilities
* Develop project and program opportunities with targeted existing and prospective large and mid-size companies as identified and assigned by leadership. * Develop and grow the investment in JPL services made by targeted clients meeting mutually agreed upon goals. * Develop lines of communication with targeted clients to identify business needs, objectives, target markets and audiences. * Develop an understanding of clients’ and prospects’ businesses; propose informed solutions to address their business and marketing challenges and opportunities. * Provide an excellent JPL-branded client experience. * Manage the execution of multiple projects and programs (on time, on strategy and on budget). * Provide strategic direction to the larger team of account managers, digital marketers, media and event producers, and creative team members – setting the team up for success. * On an ongoing basis, develop new relationships and future opportunities within the client organization. Track contact information, leads and opportunities in CRM. * Monitor and report client organizational changes that may impact the relationship.
Ideal Candidate
* Degree in marketing, communications or related field of study. * 10+ years of business development and/or account management and strategic planning experience in an advertising/digital agency or marketing firm. * A successful track record of winning new business for an advertising/digital agency or marketing firm. * 5+ of experience managing digital marketing and interactive projects and developing communications programs through the entire project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, execution, implementation, deployment and maintenance. * Client-centric work ethic and ability to foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client. * Experience managing projects and programs with a metrics-driven digital marketing emphasis and use of web technologies, optimization and mobile applications. * Proven ability to inspire creative teams with clear, insightful, actionable strategies and supporting rationale, and the ability to translate strategic detail into focused creative briefs. * Strong verbal presentation skills; experience presenting to senior-level decision makers with an ability to win confidence and their business. * Strong negotiating and decision-making skills.
