Responsibilities
The Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact for the Assurant Solutions Vehicle Protection Services clients, to provide products and services to support retention and growth of the clients business and Assurant. Review client business performance to ensure program profitability. Manage contracting activities. Manage and maintain existing and new client relationships by building creditability and trust through open, honest, and timely communication. Support sales representatives to identify organic and new growth opportunities by evaluating existing client business structure and prospect potential. Manage implementation process by coordinating and completing tasks associated with installation planning and execution. This includes managing integrity of client data to ensure quality of business arrangement from proposal through implementation process is captured and retained. Drive Alignment with the Client (35%) The Account Executive is responsible to coordinate the development of long-term contractual obligations and relationships with clients. * Execute necessary contracting related to clients. * Coordinate Business Reviews * Manage special projects and implementations * Develop and maintain tools to manage timelines with clients and internal teams * Manage client account receivables. Manage and Execute Day-to-day Operations (45%) The Account Executive oversee the following day to day operations: * Drive and ensure functional areas perform their functions based on contractual or commitments and on time * Ensure execution of commitments outside of contractual obligations * Understanding the sensitivity and proprietary nature of our clients’ confidential information * Collaborate and Communication with various teams ensure completion of all tasks and projects * Ability to use a Gantt chart or has MS Project experience to manage all projects. Cost Savings and Expense Reduction (10%) The Account Executive is responsible to develop an understanding and generally speaks to Assurant Solutions cost savings and expense reductions goals. * Identify opportunities to improve processes and/or reduce expenses * Regularly articulates client’s key financial metrics (e.g., GOR, deal structure, profit points, etc.) Industry Knowledge (10%) The Account Executive is responsible for understanding Assurant and the Vehicle Service Contract industry as it relates to products, compliance, risk, and competition. Responsible to understand the financial structure of each assigned client to contribute to managing overall business performance. In addition the Account Executive is responsible to adhere to Assurant Business Travel Expense Management.
Ideal Candidate
Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED Required * 1 year account executive/client management experience. * 1 year experience managing projects. Preferred Qualifications: * Proven intermediate skills on Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Project. * The ability to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and written; excellent presentation skills * Proven Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously. * Knowledge of vehicle service contract products; ancillary products; and insurance products * General understanding of reinsurance * Ability to work cooperatively with Management, Sales team, Strategic Growth team, Clients and Operational areas * Ability to influence clients and gain buy-in * Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and consistently meet client needs on a timely basis * Ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams * Attention to detail and strong follow-up and organizational skills * Ability to establish strong client relationships, through knowledge of the client’s business model * Ability to resolve complex problems and issues with little supervisory support * Accepts responsibility and is accountable for clients business objectives * Ability to credibly recommend modifications to existing contractual/financial arrangement * Ability to present to multiple/varied audiences internally and externally * Ability to travel 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business * Experience in completing action plans and projects, exposure to budgets, expense control reports or financial statements. * 2 years of account executive/client management experience.
