Summary
You have a proven track record of product delivery as a product manager, and are passionate about building marketing levers to grow the Betterment customer base, developing an easy and streamlined onboarding experience and creating strategies to engage existing customers. You are analytical by nature and experienced in utilizing A/B testing to iterate your way to the best customer experience. You are an expert communicator, someone who can explain complex requirements to engineers one moment and in the next work closely with the CMO and growth team to define the product roadmap. It’s a good day when you get to write some requirements, whiteboard with design, investigate a conversion funnel or strategize a launch with marketing.
Responsibilities
* Own and manage all aspects of the growth and engagement products at Betterment. This includes brand new initiatives, enhancements and maintenance for existing features * Develop and communicate a forward-looking vision to drive customer signups and ongoing product engagement in partnership with the CMO and growth team * Partner with the engineering and data team on designing well thought out tests to creatively optimize the funnel or to help understand which version of a feature delivers the best outcome * Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape through analysis, user research, and site testing * Partner with our investing, design, engineering and marketing team to craft and launch beautiful, easy-to-use features that solve customer problems
Ideal Candidate
* 2-3 years of product management experience for a web or mobile product, ideally focused on customer acquisition and onboarding for a high growth company * Bachelor’s degree from a top tier college * Experience and comfort working with data and leveraging data to help drive decisions * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken * Empathy in the workplace * Great organizational skills, extra attention to detail * Creativity, breadth of interests and initiative * Ability to learn quickly * Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment
