Summary
Benefitfocus Solutions Consultants are highly driven and proficient leaders with a background in software implementation and/or Benefits. The Solutions Consultant is the main contact and the product expert during every employer implementation. This associate is responsible for requirements gathering for all components (enrollment, EDI and payroll) to create a solution that meets the needs of complex clients and is the foundation for successful implementation of benefits enrollment, payroll integration and carrier transmission. This person will work closely with the Configuration Analyst on scope and requirements changes to ensure quality and accuracy. This person will also work closely with the Test Manager and the Test Analyst to create and execute test scripts in alignment with the requirements throughout all phases of the implementation life cycle. The Solutions Consultant is responsible for accurately and timely meeting all assigned tasks as defined within the project timeline that lead up to the software application going live for the client. Each Solution Consultant can expect to work on multiple implementations at one time.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for planning and documenting the configuration needed for Benefit software to meets the needs of complex client requirements established for benefits enrollment, payroll integration and carrier transmission * Understand the deliverables as documented in the contract for each assigned project * Lead requirements gathering discussions and document all requirements for implementation of eEnrollment, Payroll Integration, and all data transmission EDI links * Request plan documents and initially populate CRD to be used in discovery calls * Request account structure documents directly from each carrier * Gather accurate, detailed, and comprehensive requirements document specifications to be used in the development and possible engineering of the payroll integration and for the use of engineering, as needed, to meet project deliverables * Analyze complex account structures and complete client configuration plan * Obtain sign-off for all eEnrollment configuration requirements and payroll documentation requirements * Direct configuration analyst on configurations necessary for eEnrollment, including Payroll attributes, EDI Destinations, and carrier numbers * Work with configuration analyst and testing analyst during testing phases to determine issue resolution and direct configuration on updates needed for remediation * Responsible for documentation/configuration for all requested changes throughout the life cycle of the implementation. This includes understanding project timeline risks for specific changes/late requirements as well as enforcement of change control process * Review demographic data requirements and data load process with employer prior to request of data from testing lead * Oversee the import of demographic information, possibly including benefit elections, for each client * Accurately and timely meet all assigned tasks as defined within the project timeline that lead up to the software application going live for the client * Act as an advisor during discovery and testing phases by providing guidance and advice on best practices for launching a successful implementation * Manage multiple client implementations at one time * Work within tight timeframes in a fast paced environment * Act as liaison/facilitator across entire implementation team, including configuration and testing as well as engineering, where needed * Coordinate project responsibilities and provide updates to Project Management on project plan/timeline * Work internally to ensure client needs are met and integrated within all components of delivery * Maintain a thorough knowledge of eEnrollment and other Enterprise applications as well as Payroll Integration and EDI * Proven track record of successfully executed project work in a matrix environment with common methodologies and processes * Continually learn and become an expert on software that is updated quarterly * Provide ongoing solutions and support during the go-live transition period to the Account Management * Follow the PHI and Security protocol documented in the Benefitfocus Compliance Document * Manage and maintain all requirements documentation, communication, and tracking in Salesforce and internal SharePoint * Collaborate with the team, providing assistance when possible, and continually encourage and promote the Benefitfocus culture * Maintain Benefitfocus product certification status * Travel, as needed, to visit clients during the project lifecycle * Must possess a positive "can-do" attitude and be willing to work in a fast-paced business environment * Update project tasks in Salesforce * Review project schedule and project status to ensure reporting accuracy * Responsible for storing all customer-provided documents in Salesforce * Responsible for final signoff on all required tracking documents, both internal and client facing (eEnrollment go live checklist, rate confirmation, etc.)
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years requirements gathering experience, preferably in the software industry or in a consultative environment * Must have demonstrated creativity and a contagious sense of urgency. Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations * Strong problem solving and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on an analysis of information available * Strong consultative nature and client focus * Ability to travel * Ability to prioritize across multiple client implementations
