Summary
Fastly is looking for a strategic HR Business Partner to join a growing team. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this position will be responsible for providing forward-thinking, proactive HR partnership and support to the global Engineering team. This dynamic, fast-paced role will interact with employees at all levels, and will have responsibility for a wide range of generalist functions, including on-boarding and off-boarding, policy and procedure development and management, performance management support, and organizational design.
Responsibilities
* Coach and counsel employees and managers on a wide range of HR related business topics including performance management, compensation, talent development and general policy related issues * Identify and advise leaders on individual development needs of their team members, and partners to develop and ensure a clear path to goal achievement * Facilitate effective communication between employees and managers to support employee engagement and development conversations * Participate in the implementation of assorted HR programs * Increase levels of HR partnership by ensuring that consistent and accurate messages are being delivered * Build relationships across the business ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of changes that impact their departments * Develop people oriented programs that enhance our culture * Conduct new hire orientation on a semi-monthly basis * Support recruiting efforts, as needed * Complete special projects as they arise
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree or equivalent in related field of study and 8+ years of human resources generalist experience * Solid knowledge of HR practices with experience in a key area of HR, ideally talent management, employee relations or HR operations * Demonstrated skills and abilities in implementing talent-related policies/procedures, coaching and problem solving * Demonstrated experience serving as a true hands-on, collaborative business partner * Excellent communication skills * Strong project management skills, high detail orientation and exceptional organization skills * Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities * Strong customer service; professional and friendly demeanor * Reputation for integrity and dedicated work ethic with desire for ownership of process and product success * Prior experience working in a high growth environment
