Responsibilities
* Manage reporting relationship with BoD and Investors. * Manage the end-to-end communication of GAAP ledger reporting, as well as SaaS financial reporting metrics. * Track key business metrics and performance across a wide range of disciplines including demand generation, direct sales channels, account management, customer service, product marketing and recruiting. * Responsible for supporting monthly budgeting and forecasting process. Monitor budget to actual variances, reports to management, and proactively makes recommendations and shares ideas on how to make Belly a fun and empowered destination for business managers. * Provide insights into business performance, and recommendations on how to turn insights into action. * Incorporate business metrics into a transparent budgeting & forecasting process, and improve cross-functional reporting processes and structure to improve the communication and transparency of company performance amongst business units. * Manage a team performing general ledger closing process, including the accurate and timely closing of ledgers, account reconciliations, and issuance of financial statements and reports to investors.
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years of work experience ready to apply to the position.. Investment banking, analyst, audit/tax and consulting experience is all relevant. * Willingness to challenge the status quo and force productive conversations amongst teams * Comfort with, or willingness to learn, SQL reporting * Willingness to learn SaaS fundamental business metrics and unit economics * Experience with Intacct, Zuora, Expensify and Salesforce is a plus * Strong intellectual curiosity and love of problem solving * Ability to convey complex topics in simple terms and scenario analyses * Impeccable integrity, work ethic and commitment; positive “can-do” attitude
