Responsibilities
* Develops, prepares, analyzes, and distributes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports * Interfaces with management to develop recommendations regarding business planning, operating forecasts, and financial plans * Assist in preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts * Provides analysis of actual versus budget amounts * Provides ROI analysis on projects and capital purchases * Researches and reports on industry benchmarks; analyzes and compares company’s results to best practices * Assists in month-end close process including but not limited to preparing detailed account analysis, preparing reports necessary for validating general ledger balances, ensuring data is properly recorded to provide accurate costing of departmental activities, performing analytical activities to ensure accurate financial reporting * Reviews general ledger activity to ensure all activity is properly recorded and reflected in general ledger * Assists with the development and implementation of accounting and finance policies and procedures
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent * Four to seven years related experience or equivalent * Commitment to excellence and high standards * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to work with all levels of management * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Ability to manage priorities and workflow * Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm * Acute attention to detail * Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects * Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees * Proficient on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Intacct and Zuora would also be preferred * Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines * Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method. * Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
